       Established in 2011, Steamworks Research & Design Labs produces interactive 

Steampunk, Dieselpunk and Atomicpunk contraptions from period found objects.

SLR Photographics created impressionistic images  from 
manipulated Polaroid SX-70 photographs from 1978 to 2009.

Commissioned work on a request basis only.

Recent updates:

April 2011  - "Wozniak's Conundrum" takes Viewers Choice Award at the "Zone 4 All" exhibition at the New Zone Gallery in Eugene, Oregon.  44 votes for first  place of the 463 votes cast.

July 2011 - 
"Wozniak's Conundrum" goes viral over the internet with 100's of blogs written world-wide.  

August - October 2011  - "Tesla's Trepidation" edged out "Wozniak's Conundrum" in the Viewers Choice Award at the "Salon du Peuple" (Salon of the People) exhibition at the New Zone Gallery in Eugene, Oregon.  82 and 80 votes for first and second place of the 1375 votes cast. "Tesla's Trepidation" pored out 57 shots of brandy during the opening reception.

October 2011 - February 2012 - "Wozniak's Conundrum" & "Land's Metamorphosis" on display at the 2nd Annual Steampunk and Function Exhibition / Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation, Waltham, Mass. 
UPDATE - "Wozniak's Conundrum"  takes 1st place!

January 2012  -  Of the 5 pieces produced to date, 3 are on display in museums across the country.

April 2012  - "Oppenheimer's Enigma" takes Viewers Choice Award at the "Zone 4 All" exhibition at the New Zone Gallery in Eugene, Oregon.  29 votes for first  place of the 281 votes cast.  73 "Dog Tags" were stamped out to the public during the opening reception.

June - September 2012  -  Invited to exhibit work in the SoHo Gallery District, NYC.

August - October 2012  - "Babbage's Machination" takes Viewers Choice Award at the "Salon du Peuple" (Salon of the People) exhibition at the New Zone Gallery in Eugene, Oregon.  109 votes for first place and 59 votes for second place "Oppenheimer's Enigma" of the 1653 votes cast.

January - December 2013 - "Wozniak's Conundrum" on year long tour to 10 Mac Stores in the Pacific Northwest.

April 2013  -  "Cayce / Serling's Mystic Seer" takes Viewers Choice Award at the "Zone 4 All" exhibition  at the New Zone Gallery in Eugene, Oregon.  22 votes for first  place and 16 votes for second place "Richmanioff's Dischord" of the 235 votes cast.  69 fortunes were revealed to the public during the opening reception.


Coming in Summer 2013   - "Teller's Armageddon", an Atomicpunk  assemblage..
